Emergency: Kangana Ranaut Unveils Milind Soman's FIRST Look As War Hero Sam Manekshaw; Fans Call It ‘Zabardast’
Kangana Ranaut is all set to keep the box office numbers rolling with her upcoming film ‘Emergency’. For this film, she has donned a director’s as well as a producer’s hat. She will also be essaying the great leader of all time Indian Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. With the development of the film, she is unveiling a glimpse into actors’ first looks sporting their characters’ via social media. 

In the latest post, Kangana Ranaut introduced the character of Milind Soman via Instagram and he will be seen playing Sam Manekshaw in the film. While sharing the look of Milind she wrote, “Presenting the dynamic @milindrunning as #SamManekshaw, the man instrumental for saving India’s frontiers during the Indo-Pak war and whose service was as distinguished as his honesty; a charmer, a war hero and a visionary leader in #Emergency”.  



Meanwhile, the ‘Made In India’ fame actor also showed his gratitude to play the war hero and shared a picture on Instagram and wrote, “Honoured to be a part of @kanganaranaut ’s directorial #Emergency and play the role of #SamManekshaw, the man who, with his wit and gallantry, led India to victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war!”

For the unversed, Sam Maekshaw was the Chief of the Indian Army Staff during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. He was also the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of field marshal.

Talking about the film is based on the sensitive socio-political situation emergency of our country imposed between 1975-1977. The film also stars, legendary actor Anupam Kher portraying  Lok Nayak Jaya Prakash Narayan while Shreyas Talpade will essay Bharat Ratna Atal, Bihari Vajpayee. And Mahima Chaudhary Pupul Jayakar, the author and friend of the Iron Lady. The magnum opus is backed by her home production Manikarnika Films.
